UAE’s renewable energy company Masdar has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Singapore’s Tuas Power, France’s EDF Renewables and PT Indonesia Power to develop renewable energy within Indonesia and to export it to Singapore. The agreement envisages the development of solar photovoltaic (PV) facilities with a capacity of as much as 1.2 gigawatts (GW), and potential associated storage, Masdar said in a statement on Tuesday. Sungrow will provide 2.576MWp PV inverter and 1MW/3.957 MWh energy storage system to build a microgrid for Cairo 3A Poultry Company. Talgo announced today the timetable for the manufacture and launch of its hydrogen train, a green, innovative and efficient alternative to replacing diesel engines, which will be ready in 2023. The train will be named Talgo Vittal-One, as a reference to the place of the hydrogen in the periodic table, the first one. The details were presented during the event “Renewable hydrogen: an opportunity for Spain“, organised by the Spanish Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic challenge. The first phase of the validation tests of the hydrogen technology will be conducted in 2021. (“Embraer”) company, and Falko Regional Aircraft Limited (“Falko”), announced today a Letter of Intent which contemplates a potential order for 200 of Eve’s electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft (eVTOL) and a commercial partnership to develop a global network of eVTOL operators in support of Urban Air Mobility missions. The partnership between Eve and Falko will begin by establishing a working group to collaborate with Falko’s existing operators to develop initial route networks where Eve’s aircraft can be deployed in early adopter markets. Masdar, one of the world’s leading renewable energy companies, and ENGIE, a global player in low-carbon energy and services, have signed a collaboration agreement with Fertiglobe, the strategic partnership between OCI N.V. and the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), and the world’s largest seaborne exporter of urea and merchant ammonia. Under the agreement, the companies will look to co-develop a globally cost-competitive green hydrogen facility in the UAE, with a capacity of as much as 200 megawatts (MW), to support the production of green ammonia.
