Europa truck powered by zepp.solutions’ X150 fuel cell system unveiled at IAA exhibition in Hannover

London, September 16, 2024, (Oilandgaspress) –Zepp.solutions, a Dutch frontrunner in hydrogen fuel cell technology, unveiled their latest innovation for emission-free heavy transport at the IAA exhibition in Hannover this week: the zepp.europa H2 Fuel Cell Truck. This 40-tonne hydrogen-electric tractor is based on the Mercedes-Benz Actros. The vehicles combine a workflow equal to diesel vehicles with the benefits of emission-free transport.

The zepp.europa truck offers a range of more than 700 km thanks to its hydrogen storage of 58.8 kg at 350 bar, and is fully equipped with a sleeper cab. The truck can tow standard 45ft containers on a regular semi-trailer, without any modifications to the vehicle configuration. This ensures that the truck offers a practical and immediately deployable solution for long-distance transport without CO2 emissions.

First customers already on board
The first two zepp.europa trucks have already been sold. Vos Transport Group and the Inland Terminals Group showed their confidence in this technology by purchasing the trucks early in the development process. Visitors to the IAA can see the trucks in detail:
• Inland Terminals Group’s truck will be on display at the zepp.solutions stand in Hall 24, stand C21.
• Vos Transport Group’s truck can be seen in Hall 12, stand D37. Here, the cab is tilted, allowing a closer look at the fuel cell system and hydrogen storage.

Emission-free transport without concessions

The zepp.europa trucks enable the transition to emission-free transport without compromising on performance.
