General Motors Reports Record Q3 Sales of EV; Up 46% over Q2

London, October 02, 2024, (Oilandgaspress) –––General Motors (NYSE: GM) and its dealers increased retail sales by 3% year over year and delivered 659,601 total vehicles, down 2%, in the U.S. in the third quarter of 2024. The company achieved another record quarter of EV sales with 32,195 total deliveries, up 60% year-over-year and up 46% compared to the second quarter of 2024.

GM battery Research and Development electrochemists build prototype battery cells using a robotic battery cell stacking machine at GM’s Global Technical Center in Warren, Michigan. The all-new Wallace Battery Cell Innovation Center will build on the work taking place at GM R&D for more than 10 years, supporting the widespread adoption of EVs, increasing the pace of the company’s battery innovation and helping to advance its vision of an all-electric future.

“GM’s EV portfolio is growing faster than the market because we have an all-electric vehicle for just about everybody, no matter what they like to drive,” said Rory Harvey, GM executive vice president and president of Global Markets.
