GMC Debuts 2024 Sierra HD AT4X

GMC is building on the AT4 legacy with the first ever Sierra HD AT4X and AT4X AEV Edition, the two new off-roading beasts coming to the 2024 Sierra Heavy Duty lineup. The Sierra HD AT4X is a balanced execution that delivers serious off-road capability straight from the factory while still providing the on-road comfort, innovative tech and pulling power you expect from a GMC Sierra Heavy Duty.
RUGGED OFF-ROAD CAPABILITY
The Sierra HD AT4X is prepared for the adversities of the trail with a factory-installed 1.5″ suspension lift, a ground clearance of 11.6 inches, an approach angle of 31.6 degrees and a 25.7-degree departure angle. The Sierra AT4X is also outfitted with 35″ Goodyear® Territory MT Tires and a rear e-locking differential which assures both wheels will spin together regardless of the amount of resistance to help keep traction in the rough backcountry.

GMC Debuts 2024 Sierra HD AT4X

The Sierra Heavy Duty’s world-class towing capability is enhanced for 2024 with an available all-new, more efficient turbocharger that increases power and torque over the entire operating system, including a 25% boost in low-end torque over the previous model year. The GMC Sierra HD AT4X boasts the impressive available 6.6L V8 Duramax Turbo-Diesel paired with a 10-speed Allison automatic transmission that delivers 975 lb.-ft of torque (at 1,600 rpm), 470 horsepower (at 2,800 rpm).

The Sierra Heavy Duty is engineered for towing, and thanks to the enhanced available 6.6L V8 Turbo-Diesel, the Sierra HD AT4X has an available max towing† capacity of up to 18,500 lbs.† (18,400 lbs. for AT4X AEV Edition). Additionally, the 2024 Sierra Heavy Duty offers the most trailering-assistance technologies in its class†, including up to 14 available camera view

GMC collaborated with American Expedition Vehicles (AEV) and is introducing the first ever Sierra HD AT4X AEV Edition, taking the Sierra HD AT4X’s off-road capabilities to higher peaks thanks to a host of key AEV off-roading enhancements geared for those who are looking to blaze new trails.

The Sierra HD AT4X AEV Edition is equipped to take on the gnarliest terrains with a ground clearance of 11.8 inches, an approach angle of 29.8 degrees and a departure angle of 25.7 degrees.
