Indji Systems Releases Enhanced Hail Monitoring System to Strengthen Solar Asset Protection

Major updates to Indji Watch deliver earlier warnings, expanded international coverage, and deeper integration with automated stow systems.

LOS ANGELES–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Indji Systems has released a major update to its hail monitoring and alerting platform, Indji Watch, following a comprehensive enhancement by its R&D team. The new system delivers faster, more precise hail detection and expands coverage to support solar operators in the United States, Canada, and Australia.

With hailstorms posing an increasing threat to utility-scale solar assets, this release introduces key capabilities to improve both the speed and accuracy of alerts. A new configurable Hail Stow Zone around each solar site now allows Indji Watch to monitor a defined area beyond the asset’s boundary—giving operators earlier warning of approaching hail and more time to take protective action.

“These enhancements reflect a ground-up rethinking of how hail threats should be detected and delivered to solar operators,” said Adam Hender, CEO of Indji Systems. “Our R&D team has significantly expanded the system’s capabilities to help our customers act earlier and with greater confidence.”

The upgraded system also integrates multiple new weather data sources—including storm tracking and hail detection feeds specific to Australia—ensuring broader global coverage and more frequent updates. This multi-source approach allows Indji Watch to better track fast-changing storm conditions and provide more timely alerts to site operators.

To further support real-time response, Indji Watch includes the option to configure audible alarms for control room environments, helping ensure critical hail alerts are noticed immediately. All hail threat information is also available via the Indji Watch API, allowing integration with third-party solar tracking systems for automatic panel stow during hail events.

These updates reinforce Indji Systems’ continued investment in environmental threat monitoring, and its commitment to helping solar operators protect their assets and maintain operational continuity in the face of severe weather.
