Kia Announces November 2024 global sales of 262,426 units, up 0.8% Y/y

London, December 02, 2024, (Oilandgaspress) –––Kia Corporation today announced global sales for November 2024 of 262,426 units (excluding special purpose vehicles), up 0.8 percent year over year, led by strong market demand for the company’s SUV models.

The Sportage SUV drove Kia’s November sales, recording 46,104 units globally. The Seltos and Sorento SUVs backed up this continued market performance, with the Seltos SUV recording global sales of 24,312 units. The Sorento SUV sold 23,906 units globally.

Sales outside of Korea

Outside of Korea, Kia recorded sales of 213,835 units, up 1.9 percent compared with the same period in 2023.

The Sportage SUV led the brand’s performance in markets outside of Korea, with 41,871 sales. It was followed by the Seltos SUV, which sold 19,425 units, and the Sonet SUV, with sales of 16,888 units

In the Korean market, Kia sold 48,015 units, down four percent compared with the same period last year.

The Sorento SUV led the company’s passenger vehicle sales in its home market, with 10,434 units. This was followed by the Carnival MPV, which sold 7,516 vehicles, and the Seltos SUV, with 4,887 sales.

The global sales from January to November this year totaled 2,847,160 units, 0.9 percent down from a year earlier.

Kia will continue to build on its sales momentum with the launch of the new Sportage SUV. The company will also further solidify its electrification leadership with the launch of new models such as the EV4 and EV5, as well as entering the pickup truck market for the first time with the Kia Tasman.
