Renault wins I-nnovation Award for openR link with convertor companion on new Master

London, 23 November 2023, (Oilandgaspress) – On Tuesday 21 November 2023, at Solutrans, Renault received an I-nnovation Award in the “connected services solutions” category for its openR link innovation with convertor companion.

Innovation has always been at the heart of Renault’s commercial vehicle DNA.

On the new Renault Master, openR link multimedia system with integrated Google is ushering in a real revolution in the segment thanks to openR link with convertor companion.

This feature enables convertors to integrate an application dedicated to their conversion into the multimedia system.

These applications, developed directly by converters, enable the driver of the new Renault Master to control and monitor conversions directly on the multimedia system’s 10″ screen.

The advantages for the customer are numerous: better interface for the driver (better visibility, larger controls, colour screen), greater simplicity and safety, better integration, improved quality, possibility of automatic remote updates.

What’s more, this eliminates the need for an additional dedicated screen that needs to be mounted on the dashboard, improving the vehicle’s residual value.

Three applications will be available from launch: firefighter conversion (with our partner TIB), workshop conversion (with our partner Modul-System) and refrigerated vehicle conversion (with our partner Lamberet).
