Renewables for the Yachting industry

Versalis, Eni’s chemical company, and Gruppo Boero, a leader in paint products for building and yachting with a specific approach to Social Responsibility, have begun collaborating on the development of products made from renewable raw materials for the yachting industry.

Versalis has developed hardeners for epoxy systems that are more sustainable than existing market alternatives, containing over 50% raw materials derived from renewable sources.

The collaboration also encompasses the use of a biobased raw material with antibacterial properties which has multiple potential applications.

Versalis will provide further details about the products resulting from this collaboration at the Salone Nautico in Venice (31 May – 4 June), where Eni has an exhibition stand.
