Revive Environmental Welcomes Dr. Adam Redding as Technology Development Lead for GAC RENEW™

COLUMBUS, Ohio–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#MakingPFASHistory–Revive Environmental Technology (Revive Environmental), a leader in PFAS destruction services, is pleased to announce the addition of Adam Redding, PhD as Technology Development Lead for its GAC RENEW™ program. Dr. Redding joined the company on March 24, 2025, bringing over 17 years of experience in activated carbon technology, pilot-scale evaluation, and water treatment innovation.

Dr. Redding’s role will focus on the commercialization of a novel granular activated carbon (GAC) regeneration process that expands the scope and impact of Revive Environmental’s PFAS treatment offerings. He will lead technology development and deployment for the GAC RENEW program, delivering world-class technical support to customers and partners evaluating and implementing granular activated carbon (GAC) solutions. This includes a robust pilot-scale testing program that will demonstrate potential cost savings for the customer and tailor the RENEW process to each site.

“With the launch of the GAC RENEW technology, I look forward to improving the use of GAC for water treatment applications. I see the PFAS Annihilator and GAC RENEW working hand-in-hand to rid the world of these ‘forever’ chemicals,” said Dr. Redding.

His nearly two decades worth of experience with activated carbon—from early-stage piloting to full-scale treatment systems—includes past leadership roles at Siemens Water Technologies (now Evoqua/Xylem) and Calgon Carbon, where he played a pivotal role in applying GAC technologies to complex environmental challenges. Dr. Redding earned his PhD, MSc., and BSc. in Environmental and Civil Engineering from Penn State University.

As regulations tighten and treatment costs rise, GAC RENEW provides a more sustainable, cost-effective way to manage PFAS-laden media. This helps customers meet new drinking water standards while minimizing waste and extending the life of filtration systems. Dr. Redding will lead efforts to integrate this technology with the PFAS Annihilator, offering customers flexible, end-to-end PFAS destruction solutions that reduce operational burden and environmental impact.

“I am excited to welcome Adam onboard to lead the GAC RENEW technology platform,” said David Trueba, CEO at Revive Environmental. “His deep expertise in activated carbon and pilot system design reinforces our position as a trusted partner to clients navigating the complexities of PFAS treatment. This is another example of how Revive Environmental continues to build a top talent organization to drive innovation and serve our broad customer base.”

GAC RENEW offers a flexible, innovative solution for regenerating spent GAC used in PFAS treatment – available for both on-site and off-site deployment, depending on the customer’s needs. By reducing the need for frequent carbon replacement and minimizing off-site reactivation, it provides a more sustainable, cost-effective option for applications such as drinking water filtration and other industrial treatment processes. Under Dr. Redding’s leadership, Revive will continue scaling GAC RENEW deployments in tandem with the PFAS Annihilator, which treats the concentrated regenerant for total PFAS destruction. Together, these technologies deliver a field-proven, end-to-end solution for meeting regulatory requirements and eliminating long-term liability.
