Symetra Shares Inaugural Corporate Social Responsibility Report: Symetra Social Impact 2022
BELLEVUE, Wash.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Symetra Financial Corporation today announced the publication of its first corporate social responsibility (CSR) report —Symetra Social Impact 2022.
Launched in March 2022, Symetra’s CSR program focuses on driving transformation across three priority areas—social commitments, sustainability and governance. Eight initial goals, aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, underscore Symetra’s commitment to advancing positive social change, supporting a healthier environment, and making a better world for the communities it serves. The new report details progress and key accomplishments from the program’s inaugural year and highlights the company’s ongoing efforts.
“Serving our customers, supporting our employees, and innovating for the future are critically important to Symetra’s long-term success. Equally vital, we believe, is our work to support and give back to our communities,” said Margaret Meister, president and chief executive officer, Symetra Financial Corporation. “With Symetra Social Impact, we aim to be intentional and transparent about the goals we’ve set and the progress we’re making to create positive impact for people and for the planet.”
