London, 18 March 2024, (Oilandgaspress): – Tesla to raise prices on Model Y electric vehicles Tesla (TSLA.O), opens new tab said on Saturday it would increase the price for its Model Y electric vehicles (EV) in a number of European countries on March 22 by approximately 2,000 euros ($2,177) or the equivalent in local currencies.Price would increase prices for all Model Y cars in the U.S.

Shares of Tesla Inc. got a nice bump up Monday, after it said it was raising prices on its lower-cost Model Y vehicles in the U.S. The stock jumped 3.2% in premarket trading. The stock had tumbled 19.3% over the past two weeks, the worst two-week performance in 15 months.

Year to date, it has tumbled 34.2% to pace all of the S&P 500 index’s SPX decliners this year, while the S&P 500 has gained 7.3%.
