TotalEnergies gains new individual shareholders in 2024

London, February 06, 2025, (Oilandgaspress) –––On the occasion of the publication of its annual results, TotalEnergies noted the sharp increase (+15%) in the number of French individual shareholders between 2023 and 2024.

As of December 31, TotalEnergies had nearly 650,000 individual shareholders in France, compared to 567,000 the previous year, or 83,000 more in one year.

” We are delighted with this significant and regular increase in our individual shareholders in France. It is both very concrete proof of the French people’s attachment to the TotalEnergies share, but it is also a mark of confidence on their part in our strategy. It is true that we offer an attractive return on the savings of each French person who invests in TotalEnergies since the dividend alone, which has never fallen for 40 consecutive years, yields a return of 6 % per year, ” declared Isabelle Patrier, Director France of TotalEnergies .

In addition, 80 % of TotalEnergies employees in France are also shareholders.

Thus, 12.2% of TotalEnergies’ capital is held by individual French shareholders (including employees) and have received around €840 million in dividends from TotalEnergies in 2023.
