US-DEF now provides the United States wholesale and retail markets with a brand of diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) made in America for Americans. The transportation and commercial markets have been flooded with nameless DEF in plain brown boxes with questionable lineage for far too long. The diesel driving public and working industries want to know who is behind the products they rely on for their diesel vehicles and off-road equipment. US-DEF was created to address that need.
US-DEF offers a superior value proposition. Adherence to the strict American Petroleum Institute (API) quality standards, dynamic packaging and brand recognition on the shelf and at the pump. In 2010, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency set up U.S. Federal guidelines requiring that most heavy-duty diesel trucks and off-road diesel equipment use DEF to reduce emissions. US-DEF functions with selective catalytic reduction (SCR) technology to reduce nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions from diesel exhaust.
