Versalis awarded Platinum rating for sustainability

Eni’s chemical company Versalis has been awarded a Platinum rating by EcoVadis, the agency’s highest rating for corporate social responsibility.

EcoVadis is an independent agency specialising in sustainability performance in the categories of environment, human rights, ethics and procurement. The assessment uses a technology platform and criteria based on international standards such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), the UN Global Compact and ISO 26000.

Versalis (Eni) CEO Adriano Alfani said: “This significant achievement confirms Versalis’ ongoing commitment in all areas of sustainability, implementing best practices and integrating them into the company’s process management systems. The top rating we have obtained places our company at the top of the industry and is the result of great teamwork”.
