Vision RNG Closes $11.6 million Sale of IRA Investment Tax Credit

Funding will support Vision RNG’s nationwide landfill gas-to-renewable natural gas project development efforts

CANONSBURG, Pa.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Vision RNG, LLC (VRNG) announces the successful sale of $11.6 million in Investment Tax Credits (ITCs) under the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). These tax credits were generated in connection with VRNG’s Eagle Ridge project at the Meridian Waste Eagle Ridge Landfill in Bowling Green, MO. This strategic sale will provide essential capital to accelerate VRNG’s development of landfill gas to renewable natural gas (LFG-to-RNG) projects, reinforcing its commitment to advancing sustainable energy solutions.

The sale of these tax credits marks a significant milestone for VRNG as it continues to expand its portfolio of LFG-to-RNG projects designed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions*, promote renewable fuel alternatives, and mitigate reliance on fossil fuels. RNG produced by the Eagle Ridge project will replace the equivalent of approximately 17,000 tons of CO₂ or 40,000 barrels of oil consumed each year. This project is a prime example of how innovative approaches to waste management can yield substantial environmental benefits.
