(Oilandgaspress) -] In addition to the all-electric, locally emissions-free Zafira Electric, the multi-talented family van is also available with a latest-generation 2.2-litre diesel engine. With 132 kW (180 hp) of power and 400 Newton metres of maximum torque, the newly developed engine delivers powerful performance with economical fuel consumption.

The Euro 6e-compliant 2.2 turbo diesel offers with its new-generation direct injection and an optimised exhaust gas recirculation system higher efficiency and lower emissions compared to previous diesel generations. This has reduced fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by up to 13 per cent, which is good news for the environment and for customers’ wallets. With 132 kW (180 hp) and 400 Newton metres of torque, the newly developed engine ensures dynamic driving pleasure with the Zafira in the city as well as on the motorway. The smooth-shifting eight-speed automatic transmission also contributes to this feeling. The Zafira can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 10.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 185 km/h.

The latest generation 2.2-litre diesel engine is available for both the 4.98-metre long Zafira variant and the 5.33-metre Zafira XL.

Zafira from an entry-level price of €41,990 (RRP incl. VAT in Germany) and Opel is giving buyers complete freedom to decide for themselves which drive system currently best suits their needs.
