(Oilandgaspress) Hyundai Motor Company and Kia Corporation today announced the development of ‘Vision Pulse,’ a groundbreaking driver safety technology. Utilizing ultra-wide band (UWB) signals, this pioneering technology accurately pinpoints the position of obstacles around a vehicle in real time, significantly improving driving safety. Vision Pulse employs UWB modules installed in vehicles to emit signals. If nearby vehicles, bicycles or pedestrians also have UWB modules — such as certain smartphones, wearables and trackers — the system measures the time it takes for signals to travel between the modules, calculating their exact positions. When a potential collision is detected, the system issues alerts, reducing the likelihood of an accident and greatly enhancing safety. Related News

The first Porsche to exceed 1,000 PS – the legendary 917/30 – meets the new Cayenne Turbo Electric at the FAT Ice Race in Zell am. The all-electric SUV also breaks the four‑digit power barrier.

Porsche continues to push the boundaries while staying true to its heritage. In 1973, the Can-Am series was dominated by the Porsche 917/30, which produced up to 1,100 PS and set new standards in terms of turbocharging and aerodynamics. Today, the Cayenne Turbo Electric combines that same distinctive Porsche DNA with pioneering technology: up to 850 kW (1,156 PS, Cayenne Turbo Electric: Electric power consumption* combined (WLTP) 22.4 – 20.4 kWh/100 km, CO₂ emissions* combined (WLTP) 0 g/km, CO₂ class A ) of power, 0-100 km/h in 2.5 seconds, a charging capacity of up to 400 kW and more than 600 kilometres of range. It is the most powerful series-production Porsche ever built – and more versatile than any of its predecessors: athletic on the road, capable off-road and comfortable on long journeys. Related News
