Boosting III project of Hassi R’mel now Operational

SONATRACH announced the commissioning of the Boosting III project of the Hassi R’mel field (wilaya of Laghouat).

Hassi R’Mel’s Boosting III project came into operation with its three stations: South, Center and North, after the completion of the “commissioning” phase of the last North station, said the same source.

“Despite the Covid-19 pandemic, the contractual deadlines for completing and starting the operating phase were met with the required quality, thanks to the commitment of the project team with the contribution of companies national: ENGTP, ENAC, SARPI and Cosider Canalisations ”, underlines the company.

The project in question aims to maintain an estimated production level of 180 million cubic meters per day and to recover additional reserves estimated at 400 billion cubic meters of natural gas.

In addition, this achievement allows SONATRACH to strengthen its current production capacities to continue to meet the growing needs of the national gas market and also to honor its contractual export obligations, particularly in times of strong demand for natural gas.

The project also allowed, during the construction phase, the creation of more than 10,000 jobs, in particular for the benefit of the national workforce, noted the same source. (APS)
