Dacia sold 676,340 vehicles in 2024, up 2.7% growth on 2023

London, January 16, 2025, (Oilandgaspress) –––Dacia sold 676,340 vehicles in 2024, registering 2.7% growth compared with 2023. The year 2024 also marks a milestone in the history of Dacia, which has passed the symbolic mark of 9 million vehicles sold since 2004.

Dacia is outperforming the market, up 1.6% in 2024 compared with 2023.

The brand’s sales performance confirms the relevance of its positioning based on the best value for money. In Europe, Dacia recorded:

A record market share in PC+LCV* at 3.9%, up 0.1 point on 2023. The brand has moved up one place in the rankings compared with 2023 and is now in the European Top 10. A record PC market share of 4.5%, up 0.1 point on 2023. This puts the brand one place higher than in 2023, in 9th position.
By 2024, Dacia will have achieved an 8.2% share of PC sales to retail customers (8.3% in 2023), consolidating its place on the European podium for the fourth year running.

These good results were driven by strong performances in a number of European countries, which recorded an all-time high in terms of PC market share: 4.2% in Austria (up 0.2 point on 2023), 5.2% in Belgium-Luxembourg (up 1 point on 2023), 2.5% in Germany (up 0.1 point on 2023), 6.2% in Italy (up 0.8 point on 2023), and 7.7% in Portugal (up 0.3 point on 2023).

Some countries recorded very strong growth in volumes, with increases of over 10%: +13.2% in Austria, +15.4% in Belgium-Luxembourg, +20.2% in the Czech Republic, +13.1% in Italy, +16.3% in Morocco, +11.9% in Poland, +10.7% in Portugal and +12.4% in Spain.

A strong product plan featuring four key models
Sandero, with 309,392 sales in 2024 (up 14.5% on 2023), is the best-selling vehicle in Europe across all channels, and the best-selling vehicle in the European retail market since 2017. Sandero is the first Dacia vehicle to sell more than 300,000 units in a single year.

Duster (generations 2 & 3) has retained its position as the best-selling SUV for retail customers in Europe since 2018. Duster is also the 2nd vehicle sold to retail customers in Europe. With 215,024 units sold in 2024 (up 7.3% on 2023) in all countries, Duster has exceeded 2.5 million units on the road since its launch in 2010. The new generation, launched in May 2024, will generate 29% of its sales from hybrid powertrains.

Spring’s sales fell significantly in 2024 (-63% vs. 2023), mainly as a result of the reduction in government grants. However, the arrival of the new version in showrooms in September led to an increase in orders over the last three months.

As for Jogger, it sold 96,440 vehicles in 2024 (up 2.4% on 2023), maintaining its podium position in the non-SUV C-segment vehicle in the European retail market. Hybrid powertrains accounted for 29% of sales.
