Eni CEO meets the President of Kazakhstan

Eni CEO Claudio Descalzi met today with the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, and the Prime Minister, Askar Mamin.


During the meeting, Eni and KazMunaiGas signed cooperation agreements for the development of renewable, hydrogen and biofeedstock projects in Kazakhstan, strengthening and widening their historic partnership to the energy transition scope.


Through today’s agreements, Eni marks a further tangible step in line with the company’s commitment towards a just energy transition and decarbonization, while contributing to the Country’s carbon neutrality targets. In Kazakhstan, Eni, through its local renewable subsidiary ArmWind LLP, is a key player in the development of the renewable energy sector through two wind farms and one photovoltaic plant for a total capacity of approximately 150MW.
