Epsilyte Announces Product Sustainability Strategy

THE WOODLANDS, Texas–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Epsilyte, a North American leader of advanced materials, has announced a new sustainability-aligned product strategy. Key components of the strategy include:

  • Epsilyte plans to transition all materials designed and marketed for disposable applications to biodegradable by year-end 2022
  • Epsilyte will increase sales of materials designed and marketed for durable applications to > 80% of its portfolio by 2025
  • Epsilyte will annually consume > 4 million pounds of post-consumer content in the production of its products by 2025

“At Epsilyte, we support the REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE hierarchy widely accepted throughout the environmental community. We understand, however, that the United States is still in the process of building the infrastructure for recycling to be a completely viable third option. We have made significant investments in biodegradable technology to control the end-of-life of our products to benefit our world for years to come,” said Jon Timbers, Chief Sustainability Officer.

Epsilyte’s biodegradable materials will be sold under the globally recognized EVRgreen® brand.

“As a responsible and growing business, Epsilyte takes a clear-eyed view of the environmental impact of our operations and products. We are focused on both expanding and educating our society on our products’ unique environmental benefits,” says Brad Crocker, President & Chief Executive Officer.
