(Oilandgaspress) – Hitachi Energy announced an additional $150 million USD investment to expand its power transformer manufacturing across Latin America, boosting capacity to meet surging global demand for electrification and accelerate grid infrastructure. The investment deepens Hitachi Energy’s manufacturing footprint and reinforces the region’s role as a key provider of transformers to the Americas, Europe, and other markets.
In Colombia, $80 million USD will go into expanding and increasing the efficiency of the Dosquebradas (Risaralda) transformer factory, while in Brazil, $70 million USD will build on previously announced investments to strengthen and accelerate the expansion of the Pindamonhangaba and Guarulhos sites.
