13 Feb Iberdrola’s distributed electricity up by 7.5% in 2025 due to higher global demand
(Oilandgaspress) -] The energy distributed by Iberdrola worldwide during the 2025 financial year increased by 7.5% to a record 255,976 gigawatt-hours (GWh), driven by the United Kingdom (+52.2%, which already includes the contribution from SP Electricity North West), according to information submitted to the Spanish National Securities Market Commission (CNMV).

Installed capacity
At the end of 2025, Iberdrola’s installed capacity worldwide reached 58,343 megawatts (MW), representing an increase of 3.2%. Of this figure, 40.5% corresponds to onshore and offshore wind power, 22% to hydroelectric power, and 15% to solar power.
Also noteworthy is the increase in battery storage capacity, which is now 683 MW, with developments in Australia, Spain, and the United Kingdom.
By areas, the most notable increases in capacity are Iberdrola Energía Internacional, up 19% for the year, driven by new plants installed in Australia; the United Kingdom, where capacity grew by 8% due to the installation of wind and battery capacity; and the United States, where capacity increased by 5%.
