Introducing the new Renault Filante

(Oilandgaspress) The name of Filante refers to Renault’s heritage in two ways. First, the Étoile Filante, the legendary prototype that smashed several world speed records at the Bonneville Salt Lake Flats in 1956.

In 2025, Renault used the historic name of Filante for its electric concept car: Renault Filante Record 2025. With its streamlined design, largely inspired by aeronautics, it set a new efficiency record last December: 1,008 km in less than 10 hours, at an average speed of 102 km/h, and a consumption of 7,8 kWh/100 km.

Built in South Korea at the Busan plant, Renault Filante symbolises the industrial and technological expertise of Renault Korea, with a design and driving experience tailored to local expectations. Positioned in the E segment, Renault Filante embodies Renault’s global push upmarket while also complementing its range in South Korea. In this region, the D and E segments hold market share of 51.6% (-1.4% compared with 2024). The E segment alone has a share of 26.2%, with SUVs accounting for around 16%.
