London, (Oilandgaspress) – With the B05, Leapmotor expands its portfolio with a model conceived for customers seeking individuality and driving enjoyment. The vehicle embodies a new positioning for the brand: “Sporty Elegance, Everyday Thrill” – a combination of performance, design and usability that sets a new benchmark in its segment.
The Leapmotor B05 is built around three core pillars: sporty driving enjoyment, smart technology and extended electric freedom, safety and refined onboard comfort.
Bold design with a strong personality
The B05 features a wide-body coupe-inspired silhouette with class-leading proportions, including a 1,880 mm shoulder width, delivering a strong road presence and enhanced stability. Its clean, sculpted lines are complemented by distinctive design elements such as frameless doors and hidden handles, blade-style lighting signature, 19-inch aerodynamic alloy wheels and a drag coefficient of just 0.26, supporting efficiency and performance.
Inside, the Leapmotor B05 offers a refined cabin designed around comfort and usability. High-quality materials, including eco-leather upholstery compliant with OEKO-TEX standards, combine with thoughtful features such as a panoramic skylight, heated seats, and intelligent storage solutions to enhance everyday convenience.
Performance and driving dynamics engineered for Europe
Co-developed with Stellantis’ global chassis team, the Leapmotor B05 has been specifically tuned to meet European driving expectations. It delivers a balanced mix of comfort and responsive handling, supported by rear-wheel-drive architecture, 50:50 weight distribution and McPherson front and multi-link rear suspension.
The electric powertrain produces up to 218 hp (160 kW) and 240 Nm of torque, enabling acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds, further enhanced by a dedicated launch Control mode.
Advanced battery technology and fast charging
The B05 adopts an innovative Cell-to-Chassis (CTC) architecture, integrating the battery directly into the vehicle structure. This solution improves energy efficiency, reduces weight, and increases interior space, while enhancing structural rigidity.
The model is available with two battery options: the 56.2 kWh with up to 401 km WLTP range and the 67.1 kWh with up to 482 km WLTP range.
Fast-charging capability allows the battery to charge from 30% to 80% in about 17 minutes, ensuring convenience for daily use and long-distance travel.
Smart technology and seamless connectivity
At the heart of the B05’s digital experience is a dual-screen cockpit, featuring a 14.6-inch infotainment display and an 8.8-inch digital cluster, powered by Leapmotor’s latest operating system.
The integrated Leapmotor App enables remote access to key vehicle functions, including climate control, charging scheduling, vehicle status monitoring and digital key functionality, ensuring a fully connected and intuitive user experience.
Leapmotor is hosting its International Media Drive event in Germany, welcoming leading European automotive journalists to experience the all-new Leapmotor C-hatchback B05 EV.
The event takes place in the Rheingau region, an area renowned for its historic small cities, panoramic views and vineyards over the Rhine Valley.
