10 Dec McDermott awarded contract for offshore gas development in Brunei
London, December 10, 2025, (Oilandgaspress) ––McDermott has been awarded an engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning (EPCIC) contract by PETRONAS Carigali Brunei Ltd. for a large offshore natural gas development in Brunei Darussalam, marking one of the country’s most significant conventional gas projects.
The award follows McDermott’s earlier delivery of front-end engineering design (FEED), as well as engineering optimization and project readiness activities. Under the EPCIC scope, McDermott will execute a subsea production system and associated infrastructure, including umbilicals, risers and flowlines, to connect six wells to a floating production unit for gas recovery.
McDermott will also deliver EPCIC services for a gas export pipeline, which will transport production to Brunei’s liquefied natural gas (LNG) facilities, supporting both domestic supply and LNG export commitments.
