NEPL Hits Highest Oil Output Since 1989

London, December 10, 2025, (Oilandgaspress) ––NNPC E&P Limited (NEPL), the upstream arm of NNPC Ltd., achieved a major milestone on December 1, 2025, reaching 355,000 barrels of oil per day — its highest daily output in 36 years.

The company’s average production has risen sharply, climbing 52% from 203,000 bpd in 2023 to 312,000 bpd in 2025, driven by stronger asset management, operational discipline, and structured field development.

The performance boosts Nigeria’s efforts to meet its ambitious national targets of 2 million bpd by 2027 and 3 million bpd by 2030, showing measurable progress after years of sector instability.
