New Mercedes‑Benz CLA Shooting Brake is now available to order

(Oilandgaspress) – With a completely newly developed, electrified 1.5‑litre four‑cylinder turbo engine is designed for both performance and efficiency. The electric motor supplements the combustion engine with an additional boost of 22 kW. Together with its components, it is directly integrated into the new electrified eight‑speed dual‑clutch transmission (8F‑eDCT). This makes the entire system efficient and space‑saving. A new 48‑volt battery with lithium‑ion technology and an energy capacity of up to 1.3 kWh supplies the electric motor.

At typical inner‑city speeds and with the gentle driving style common there, the hybrid models can run purely on electric power. Efficient electric coasting with a decoupled drivetrain is possible at speeds of up to around 100 km/h. A particular highlight: the electric motor can recuperate in all eight gears, recovering up to 25 kW of energy.

The new Mercedes‑Benz CLA Shooting Brake has everything needed to make everyday life even more pleasant for customers. A spacious and exceptionally comfortable interior. A well‑equipped luggage compartment with an EASY‑PACK tailgate, four lashing eyes, a side net, a 12-volt socket and a flexible volume ranging from 455 to 1,295 litres.

The driving experience, powered by the Mercedes‑Benz Operating System (MB.OS) and the new Mercedes‑Benz User Experience (MBUX) with artificial intelligence from Microsoft and Google, is more intelligent, intuitive and personalised than in any other vehicle in this segment. MB.OS enables over‑the‑air updates for the entire vehicle software as well as Digital Extras offering a wide range of functions for entertainment, comfort, safety and navigation. This keeps the CLA Shooting Brake up to date and attractive for years to come – much like a smartphone that can be regularly enhanced with new apps and features.

Following the successful market launch of the electric CLA Shooting Brake, the models with powerful and highly efficient high-tech hybrid drivetrains are now being introduced, available in three output levels (100 kW/136 hp, 120 kW/163 hp, 140 kW/190 hp) and, depending on the variant, with front‑wheel or all‑wheel drive. Prices in Germany start at 47,611.90 euros.¹ Attractive leasing and financing options are also available, such as a monthly leasing rate from 305 euros for private customers.
