(Oilandgaspress) – Following the successful market launch of the electric GLB, the models with powerful and highly efficient high‑tech hybrid drivetrains are now being introduced, available in three output levels (100 kW/136 hp, 120 kW/163 hp, 140 kW/190 hp) and, depending on the variant, with front‑wheel or all‑wheel drive. Prices in Germany start at 50,396.50 euros. Attractive leasing and financing options are also available, such as a monthly leasing rate starting at 360 euros for private customers.

The completely newly developed, electrified 1.5‑litre four‑cylinder turbo engine is designed for both performance and efficiency. The electric motor supplements the combustion engine with an additional boost of 22 kW[4]. Together with its components, it is directly integrated into the new electrified eight‑speed dual‑clutch transmission (8F‑eDCT). This makes the entire system efficient and space‑saving. A new 48‑volt battery with lithium‑ion technology and an energy capacity of up to 1.3 kWh supplies the electric motor.

Intelligently designed with generous space for up to seven people, the new GLB combines striking off-road design with true functionality. The GLB is more than just a vehicle; it is the most versatile everyday hero, offering room for spontaneity and going far beyond pure practicality. The driving experience, powered by the Mercedes‑Benz Operating System (MB.OS) and the new Mercedes‑Benz User Experience (MBUX) with artificial intelligence from Microsoft and Google, is more intelligent, intuitive and personalised than in any other vehicle in this segment.
