(Oilandgaspress) Oil prices down as another round of discussions of potential peace talks between the United States and Iran raised hopes of reduced disruptions to global energy supplies.International Energy Agency (IEA) has cautioned that the retreat in oil prices does not reflect the seriousness of the current situation in the Middle East. Without a permanent negotiated settlement, the IEA warns that the world must brace for a “prolonged conflict” scenario where energy markets face even more severe disruptions in the second half of the year.
