Oilandgaspress Energy / Automotive News : International Rig Count +27 to 913

London, July 03, 2025 (Oilandgaspress) –- Oil prices fell on Thursday after gaining 3% in the previous session as investors are wary higher U.S. tariffs may be reinstated, which could cause lower fuel demand, and as major producers are expected to announce an output hike.

Brent crude futures fell 53 cents, or 0.77%, to $68.58 a barrel by 0536 GMT. U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude declined 51 cents, or 0.76%, to $66.94 a barrel. Additionally, the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and its allies such as Russia, known as OPEC+ will likely agreed to raise their output by 411,000 barrels per day (bpd) at their meeting this weekend.

With the uncertainty around both events, and the upcoming July Fourth Independence Day holiday in the U.S., “market participants will probably not want to carry too much risk into the long U.S. weekend,” ING analysts said in a note on Thursday. The U.S. Energy Information Administration said on Wednesday domestic crude inventories rose by 3.8 million barrels to 419 million barrels last week. Analysts in a Reuters poll had expected a drawdown of 1.8 million barrels.

Gasoline demand on a weekly basis dropped to 8.6 million barrels per day, prompting concerns about consumption in the peak U.S. summer driving season. [EIA/S]

The market will be watching the release of the key U.S. monthly employment report on Thursday to shape expectations around the depth and timing of interest rate cuts by the Federal Reserve in the second half of this year, analysts said. . Read More

Expected to be operational in 2026, Entrenúcleos, will consist of four solar plants—Granville, Killington, Plumlee, and Rickwood—with an installed capacity of 50 MWp each, spanning a total area of over 300 hectares. The project is expected to produce more than 435 GWh of renewable energy annually.

The facilities will be connected to the grid via the Entrenúcleos SET substation, which will be shared with another developer. This substation will, in turn, be linked to the national grid through the Red Eléctrica Española (REE) substation located in Dos Hermanas.

ARQUUS and Daimler Truck are joining forces ARQUUS and the German commercial vehicle manufacturer Daimler Truck want to work closely together on a project-specific basis. This partnership serves the strategic cooperation beyond the two companies’ own business activities and includes joint vehicle development, production, sales and services in the area of military wheeled vehicles. The two companies aim to develop tailored products and processes to better meet the needs of customers in the defence sector, with a particular focus on contributing to the future modernization of the French Army’s fleet of logistics trucks. To this end, ARQUUS and Daimler Truck combine their expertise and capabilities across their sites in France and Germany.

ARQUUS and Daimler Truck maintain their relevant production sites for Defence vehicle production in France and Germany. The French military specialist produces exclusively in the country of its headquarters, which is located in Versailles. ARQUUS’ production facilities are in Garchizy and Limoges, in the center of France. Daimler Truck assembles its Defence vehicles in Wörth am Rhein, near the French border, and in its plant in Molsheim (Alsace, France). The Molsheim plant is integrated into Daimler Truck’s industrial operations in France, which employ over 3,000 people in total. In the future, the Franco-German partner project should also contribute to strengthen the locations in the neighboring countries.

On the Trail of the Earth’s Pulse Daimler Truck, EnBW and the city of Wörth am Rhein founded the joint venture WärmeWerk Wörth GmbH to explore the possibilities of a CO2-neutral energy supply for the Mercedes-Benz plant in Wörth and the city of Wörth am Rhein using geothermal energy. The project is accompanied by scientific support – and a central concern is to involve the local public and provide them with the best possible information. A school project starts right here and awakens curiosity and the spirit of research among young people. The geothermal plant planned by Daimler Truck and EnBW, which is set to supply their city with sustainable energy in the future, has sparked broad interest among the students. After all, what the students are dealing with here on a small scale could soon help drive the decarbonization of the entire region. But one thing is certain: such a significant project can only succeed through collaboration — working together with the local community.

The multi-week workshop developed by the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) has been taking place at the Carl-Benz Comprehensive School since May 27th, in cooperation with WärmeWerk Wörth.
