TotalEnergies and Stellantis expand partnership with High-Performance Engine Oils

TotalEnergies and Stellantis are proud to announce the renewal and expansion of their strategic partnership in Europe, to develop and deliver to our customers the best solutions for engine oils and lubricants.

A Partnership Powered by Trust and Innovation
Since its beginnings with Citroën more than half a century ago, the partnership between Stellantis and TotalEnergies has evolved into a driving force for trust, performance and technological excellence. Together, the two Companies continue to push boundaries, joining forces to design the future of mobility.

We are proud to renew our partnership with Stellantis, built on more than fifty years of shared trust and innovation,” said Pierre Duhot, Senior Vice President Lubricants at TotalEnergies. “This new chapter extends our collaboration to all Stellantis brands and reinforces our common ambition to advance more sustainable and efficient mobility solutions.”

Originally renewed in 2021 for the Peugeot, Citroën, DS Automobiles and Opel, Vauxhall brands, the agreement now extends to encompass all ten iconic Stellantis brands: Fiat, Jeep, Lancia, Alfa Romeo, Abarth, Citroën, DS Automobiles, Opel, Vauxhall and Peugeot.

“This expanded partnership with TotalEnergies reflects our commitment to quality, innovation and sustainability across all Stellantis brands. By combining technical expertise and a forward-looking approach, we are delivering solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers, especially regarding quality” said Francesco Abbruzzesi, Head of Parts & Services for Stellantis in Enlarged Europe.

The Cornerstones of a Shared Vision
The partnership is structured around four key pillars that embody the long-standing collaboration between TotalEnergies and Stellantis for engine oils and lubricants:

  • Research & Development: continuous co-development focused on innovation and technical excellence, delivering cutting-edge solutions for existing and future engines.
  • Competition: over five decades of joint passion in the most demanding motorsports arenas, where TotalEnergies supports Stellantis’ pursuit of performance and success.
  • After-Sales Collaboration: close cooperation to provide expert support and tailored solutions for Stellantis’ dealership, service networks, and our customers
  • Sustainability: joint commitment to a more circular future through eco-designed products and responsible manufacturing.

Redefining Performance Through Circularity
In 2024, TotalEnergies Lubrifiants marked a major milestone in circular innovation with the launch of TotalEnergies Quartz EV3R 10W40 – the first engine oil made from 100% regenerated base oils approved by manufacturers. This breakthrough product is the first sustainable lubricant in the market co-branded with Stellantis SUSTAINera, reinforcing the shared strategy of both companies.

Driving Innovation Together: TotalEnergies and Mopar Engine Oil Portfolio
Building on this strong partnership and driven by our shared DNA of pushing innovation forward, TotalEnergies and Stellantis are launching a co-branded range of Engine Oils featuring two product lines — TotalEnergies Quartz MOPAR and TotalEnergies Quartz EV3R MOPAR SUSTAINera — both officially approved for Stellantis’ latest FPW harmonized specifications.

Both are recommended across Stellantis’ brands service networks for vehicle maintenance, as Original Equipment (OE) and are the only products recommended for the vehicle warranty and service maintenance as they ensure enforced liability, durability and safety. TotalEnergies provides complete engine oil coverage for the whole Stellantis portfolio – simplifying maintenance while delivering uncompromising performance and protection. This streamlined solution ensures reliability and peace of mind for each and every driver, across all Stellantis brands.
