TotalEnergies takes steps to protect it’s consumers in France

(Oilandgaspress) – TotalEnergies is closely monitoring the highly volatile oil markets since the start of the Gulf War. This has led to significant tensions in global diesel markets, a fuel that France imports extensively and whose supply depends on international prices. In this context, TotalEnergies wishes to reiterate its transparent pricing policy, which consists of passing on any fluctuations, whether upward or downward, in international diesel and gasoline prices without delay.

Furthermore, to protect its customers in France from this global oil shock, TotalEnergies is announcing a new measure, in place until the end of March, by committing to:

to cap the price of petrol at €1.99/L ;
to cap the price of diesel at €2.09/L .
The introduction of the cap on the price of diesel will immediately benefit customers at 1,830 stations out of the 3,300 stations in the TotalEnergies network in France.

Finally, TotalEnergies Electricity & Gas customers registered for the “fuel advantage ” will benefit from a preferential cap of €1.99/L, regardless of the fuel, for the whole year of 2026. This measure will also be valid for all new residential customers who subscribe to an electricity and/or gas contract with TotalEnergies.

All of these measures will apply from March 13 in all TotalEnergies stations in metropolitan France, including on highways and in rural areas.

TotalEnergies will reassess the situation of global oil markets in early April.
