23 Mar Toyota to Invest $1B in Kentucky and Indiana Plants
(Oilandgaspress) -Toyota Motor North America, Inc., Toyota’s North American headquarters, today announced a 1 billion USD investment in its Kentucky and Indiana plants to better meet diverse customer needs in the United States.
The investment is part of the up to 10 billion USD additional investment plan over the next five years in the U.S., announced on November 13 last year.
The investment is part of Toyota’s “best-company-in-town” approach―investing and producing locally, contributing to the local community and offering diverse options tailored to local needs through a multi-pathway strategy. In the U.S., Toyota employs approximately 50,000 people and has been involved in the development and manufacturing of over 35 million vehicles across 11 manufacturing plants.
