Vattenfall inaugurates onshore wind farm Bruzaholm

London, (Oilandgaspress) Vattenfall has signed a long-term power purchase agreement with AB Volvo, where approximately 50 per cent of the production from Bruzaholm has been allocated. The agreement helps to secure Volvo’s long-term access to competitive electricity that will be used in Volvo’s Swedish industrial production, including in a planned battery factory in Mariestad. This is a clear example of how business-driven partnerships can create value for both business and society.

Bruzaholm wind farm is in Eksjö municipality, construction began in the summer of 2023. The wind farm has an installed capacity of 139 MW and an expected annual production of 460 GWh. In connection with the wind farm, Vattenfall has also built a battery storage system that helps to stabilize the electricity grid and enable a more flexible use of electricity.
