XPeng Group delivered a total of 32,158 new vehicles in May

London, (Oilandgaspress) XPeng GX officially launched and began deliveries. The new vehicle offers two powertrains: pure electric and extended-range, with a total of eight models, redefining the benchmark for technological luxury. Within 12 hours of its launch, 24,863 orders were placed, with the Ultra flagship version accounting for over 80% of those orders. Store traffic and test drive volume set new records for the same period of a new car launch, making it one of the most popular products in the high-end luxury car market and a key step in XPeng Group’s brand elevation.

In May, China’s first fully self-developed, pre-installed, mass-produced L4-level Robotaxi officially rolled off the production line in Guangzhou. Based on the XPeng GX, it is equipped with four self-developed Turing AI chips, boasting a local effective computing power of 3000 TOPS, the highest in the world. The system response latency is less than 80 milliseconds, it does not rely on high-precision maps or LiDAR, and has the ability to be deployed across cities. Currently, it is undergoing small-scale public road L4 testing in Guangzhou, with plans to launch demonstration operations in Guangzhou in the third quarter.
